Be Prepared, Not Panicked: Creating a Home First Aid Kit for All Situations
  • Your family’s schedule may have gone out the door because of Coronavirus, but establishing a new routine together that balances work and play will provide structure and reassurance to your child.
  • Check in with your child at the beginning and end of each day to ensure they understand their teacher’s instructions and help them organise and prioritise their tasks. Stay on top of communications from your child’s teachers so you can do your best to support your child.
  • Dedicate a quiet and comfortable study space for your child with internet access that still allows you to supervise them throughout the day when necessary.
  • Remember to look after your child’s emotional needs as well. Keep the conversation open with your child and let them keep in touch with their friends virtually since they are unable to see them at school.
